The Fantastic Four
The cast has been (close to) finalized for Fox's reboot of The Fantastic Four. Chronicle director Josh Trank is helming this one and bringing his friend Michael B. Jordan along for the ride (squirm nervously comic book fans, while explaining why you're not racist for insisting The Human Torch should be white), along with Kate Mara, Miles Teller, and Jamie Bell. The suddenly ubiquitous Teller is about the only question mark left, as scheduling issues would need to be resolved for him to star.

Moviefone
Moviefone has announced that they are hanging up (pun intended) their call-in film listing service and will focus on driving people to their app. Their decreasingly popular 777-FILM phone numbers they used in major cities will be deactivated soon, but in a world that already has Fandango and Flixster firmly entrenched in the mobile market, it faces an uphill battle.

Release Dates
Man From U.N.C.L.E. and Focus have their release dates. Guy Ritchie's troubled (plenty of stars have dropped out, from Tom Cruise to Bradley Cooper) spy adaptation based on the 60's TV series will debut January 16th, 2015. Meanwhile Focus, a Will Smith-starring heist movie will bow on February 27th, 2015. While I'm encouraged by Smith taking something other than a clean-cut leading man (Hancock doesn't count), I'm thinking it will wind up being Matchstick Men level good-natured, rather than a true branching out for Smith.

Locke
I may be wrong, but this looks like it could be a "single-set" movie that takes place entirely in Tom Hardy's BMW. Written by the same man as Eastern Promises, and starring Bane? Yeah, I'll watch that.

Don Quixote
Terry Gilliam claims to have restarted (for a seventh time) production on Don Quixote. Viewers of Lost in La Mancha will recognize this as, quite possibly, the most famous failed passion project of all time.

Air
The premise alone (two maintenance workers struggle to maintain their sanity and the fragile ecosystem in the cryogenics facility housing the people destined to restart the human race) is intriguing, but the low budget, and inexperience of the crew involved gives me pause... still, depending on how and for how much it's distributed, it sounds like it could be worth a watch.
