We're doing some good work here, America. Letting Vampire Academy flounder shows me taste still prevails in some cases. With the recent string of young-adult flops, we probably only have to avoid Divergent to be done with these being churned out, at least for a while. The Monuments Men opened solidly, but terrible critic's reviews (34% on Rotten Tomatoes) and a B+ CinemaScore mean it should drop fairly rapidly, especially going up against 4 new wide releases this weekend that will chip away at its prospective audience. The Wolf of Wall Street and American Hustle finally fell out of the Top 10, removing the last of the Best Picture nominee presence. Kevin Hart: legitimate movie star will likely own two movies in the Top 10 next weekend, once About Last Night joins Ride Along, so I'm sure I'll be overjoyed to write next week's entry.
