All The Worthwhile Movie News From The Week
The Transporter
The Transporter 4 has been greenlit and will spawn 2 more sequels if it performs as expected. As Jason Statham will not reprise his role, the movie is a reboot of the complicated concept of "man drives car and shoots people, but is totally different from other movies that do that". So far eschewing the common allure of reboots, the flick is still going under the working title of Transporter 4 and not Transporter: Origins or Transporter: The First Transporting. Bold move.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron
In confusing news, Paul Bettany has been cast in Avengers 2 as Vision, a robot who in the comics joins forces with The Avengers after being created by Ultron. Maybe this is simple stuff for you comic book fans, but I'm having a tough time seeing how the same guy who plays the voice of Jarvis, Iron Man's computer assistant can also be an embodied character in the film. I'm hoping this means a complete rewrite of several crucial elements of the comic books plot, because almost nothing makes me happier than apoplectic nerds crying out over changes made to their beloved "graphic novels".

Pitch Perfect 2
Anna Kendrick and, uggh, Rebel Wilson have signed deals to reprise their roles in Pitch Perfect 2. I will admit to giving this a Snippet for the sole fact that Anna Kendrick is a goddess among mere mortals and any movie that adds her instantly gains 2 stars. Considering the original was surprisingly watchable, if a bit generic plot-wise, and it will be the directorial debut of Elizabeth Banks, color me surprisingly interested.

The ExpendaBelles
I'd love to be a fly on the wall in one of these pitch meetings.
Producer: "Get this. We take the Expendables... but film it with girls. We call it..."
*clicks next slide to reveal the title*
Producer: "The ExpendaBELLES."
*standing slow-clap ovation from studio executives*
Note: the poster on the left is fan-made, but I'll lay odds that at least 3 of those names wind up in the real thing.

Boarding
The Hollywood Reporter has an interesting piece on an increasingly common practice: boarding. Not to steal the article's thunder here, but it allows you to add an A-lister and all the cache they bring, without breaking the bank. I'd love to see an article go a little more in-depth on how it effects scheduling.
